|When the meddlesome nature of news media steers foreign policy in the wrong
direction, it could prove dangerous, even disastrous. The current dilemma is
the media's push to get the United States' military involved in the winless
war between Israelis and Palestinians.
|"Ground Down CIA", "Litigating the Legacy of Slavery" and "Historian's fight to Save her reputation" are commentaries worth reviewing.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM OR
|Congress passed the so-called 'landmark' overhaul of campaign finance laws. Senators Russ Feingold and John McCain are savoring the success of their namesake legislation. President Bush is preparing to sign it into law.
CAMPAIGN FINANCE SOLUTION:
|Little, if anything, will be resolved by the so-called campaign finance reform legislation recently passed by the Congress and signed into law by the president. Incumbent elected officials never intended to reform campaign finance, now or ever.
|It has become a principle of the environmental movement to insist that wood and paper products be certified as originating from sustained, managed forests. Movement members even created their own organization, the Forest Stewardship Council, to make the rules and hand out the certificates.
A WASTE OF ENERGY
|Pity the poor caribou. There they are, minding their own business, roaming silently in the snow and soft tundra of the desolate Arctic landscape. Then, suddenly, they're everywhere: migrating through green Web sites worldwide,
The latest from the Initiative and Referendum Institute:

HOMEGROWN TERRORISM IN AMERICA
|The attack on America notwithstanding, social and political extremists in our country have been exacting organized terror against enormous classes of people, wherein radical special interests and partisan blocks of voters, have been jerking around the majority for decades.
WHAT'S WRONG ABOUT ROSIE O'DONNELL COMING OUT?
|What's wrong about Rosie O'Donnell coming out is the fact that she perpetrated a fraud upon her young and vulnerable, fun-loving audience by pretending to be what she's not.
KENNETH LAY NOT SO DIFFERENT FROM MARC RICH

WITH BIAS TOWARD ALL
|Some 440,000 copies of Bernard Goldberg's book Bias are now in print. Who knew that a complaint about news bias would become a runaway bestseller?
THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION HITS JUNIOR HIGH
|It is highly disturbing that the moral erosion of the sexual revolution has fully impacted middle-schoolers, as was aptly pointed out in USA TODAY's March 15-17 Cover Story, "The sexual revolution hits junior high."
|The documents approving hijacker pilots' student visas six months after the September 11th attacks are little more than superficial evidence of the gross mismanagement that has infected U.S Immigration and Naturalization.
|The six-month anniversary of the attack on America will likely be remembered as much by the bungling, whining, litigious greed and disparity of terrorism victim compensation than the unspeakable horror and meaning of what actually happened on Sept. 11th.

Thirty-seven. You gotta problem wit dat, pal?"
|Even though our nation has been thoroughly shaken by the 2000 presidential election debacle, the energy crisis, Enron-style corporate corruption, economic uncertainty, the dastardly Attack on America and the war against terrorism, not much has changed
|With the election rapidly approaching, I thought I'd enumerate some of the reasons I remain aloof from the process. With the greed and corruption prevalent in politics, the ever increasing intrusion of the federal government into our daily lives and the reluctant attitude of the populace to eliminate the feeding trough of the public dole, I don't believe it will ever change,
WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT
|I'll bet, as you read my column, "Wouldn't It Be Great?", you though, "Poor old Hermit, he's gone over the edge living that life of solitude out there in the desert, dreaming idealistically of changing our government into true representative government.

THE AWOL PRESIDENT
|To raise the question of former President Bill Clinton's record on terrorism in the wake of Sept. 11 is to invite a chorus of disapproval. For bringing the subject up, you will be accused of pathological "Clinton hatred,"
