If enough of us do it, no candidate will have enough voter confidence to hold office.
The DDC recently learned about a new grassroots effort that rejects the political process by asking voters to write-in their own names on the November ballot rather than being left with no choice but to vote for "pre-selected" or "lesser evil" candidates.
"Vote for Yourself 2000" means it's time for voters to decide. Just about any citizen of voting age can make better decisions than their so-called elected officials who are inextricably tied to the hopelessly corrupted two-party system controlled by special interests and corporate power.
Only you are in a position to decide what's best for you. And collectively, only we are in a position to decide what's in the best interests of all of us. It's time to re-examine ourselves with a healthy dose of direct democracy.
The 2000 elections promise to be the most expensive sell-out and brutal betrayal of democracy in the history of our republic. But if enough of us write in our own names, no candidate will have enough voter confidence to hold office without making serious changes in a defunct system gone unconstitutional.
