Response to Iraq War Critics

President Bush's response to Iraq war critics
November 12, 2005

I am gravely concerned -- and I'm sure many Americans are troubled -- by the blind political aggression of radical Democrats and biased media toward President Bush, his administration and congressional Republicans, particularly when our national security, our economy and our future are at stake.

President Bush's response to the fraudulent and irresponsible attacks against him and going to war in Iraq is encouraging, however, it doesn't go nearly far enough. Indeed, rewriting the history of the war, the history of America and the world is commonplace for the revisionists and reconstructionists. The president and Republican leaders should tell it like it is.

When the only agenda radical Democrats and the biased media have is partisan politics, relentless criticism of the Bush administration, undermining the efforts in Iraq and the war on terror, negative reporting on oil and gas prices, and negative reporting on the handling of domestic disasters, it is highly disturbing. Especially, when the president's poor performance ratings are more a result of one-sided reporting than what the president has or hasn't done.

Worse, when all the underhanded political maneuvering is for the sole purpose of frustrating national security efforts and the economy so Democrats can take control of the Congress and the presidency in the 2006 and 2008 elections, it's painfully clear that the Democratic Party and the complicit media place power and influence over the best interests of the people. And that's simply frightening.

Clearly, there is a continuing loss of trust in politicians, government and the news media. The whole truth is the unwritten law of a free people's expectations from their institutions. After decades of deteriorating confidence, it's time for voters to consider taking back control of their lives by demanding nonpartisan elections and government, and much more democracy... before it's too late.
