Plamegate poster children

Joseph C. Wilson IV, his CIA wife, Valerie (Plame) Wilson, and VP Cheney's chief of staff, Lewis Libby have become the latest poster children for the political affliction running rampant among rancorous partisans. Problem is, what they really want is to claim the bounty on the president's right hand man, Karl Rove.

Hyped by the media feeding frenzy whirling around current press-darling and former nonpartisan contributor, Joe Wilson, he got vindictive and sold his soul to the infamous with distorted commentary about the fraud of going to war in Iraq, and the antitheses of the "Politics of Truth" book deal.

Then Senate Democrats got into a tizzy over Libby's indictment for lying to the feds, and stepped up the demand for a fingerpointing investigation against going to war in Iraq. However, in a near unprecedented move, they forced a close door session in the Senate to make it clear that there won't be any mention of their eagerly signing on to the war based on the same information.

How do the vast majority of ordinary Americans feel about all this? They probably think all the political nonsense is costing more lives in Iraq, they're turning off hostile politics, they're feeling less secure, and they're surely thinking about what a sad, dangerous state of the union, this is...
