If you believe in the concept of direct democracy, having
a say in your future and making your vote really count, do
something about it. Tell your state and federal representatives
that you want direct democracy. Talk to your family, friends,
neighbors and co-workers about it. Write letters to all of your
elected representatives. Call and Email C-Span's Washington
Journal, and other political television programming such as the Fox News Channel and MSNBC.
Write letters to the editors of your local
and regional newspapers. SPREAD THE WORD OVER THE
INTERNET. If you are really ambitious about the idea, organize
an effort in your community. Maybe you can get your city or
county to test it through computer networking.
We invite you to become a member of the Direct Democracy Center. If you are an eligible voter, just send us an e-mail from the Maildesk with your name, state and the following message: "Voter/membership."
There are no membership fees or other requirements. We will keep you informed about direct democracy.
