REPLACE PARTISAN POLITICS, CAMPAIGN FINANCE
AND THE TWO-PARTY SYSTEM
WITH NONPARTISAN DIRECT DEMOCRACY

The solution to our corrupted political system is a constitutional amendment establishing a nonpartisan direct democracy system comprised of secure interactive voting networks connected to voter's homes. All elections and voter decisions would be conducted over the voting networks.

Nonpartisan direct democracy would remove the stranglehold of a corrupted, unconstitutional two-party political system from the throat of America. With direct democracy there would be no campaign finance problem because there would be no need for campaign finance, or lobbyists, and there would be no need for term limits. The sovereignty of the people and free speech would be widely held among all citizens and voters.

In the proposal for direct democracy, voters would elect highly qualified, well-compensated, nonpartisan representatives -- professional government managers -- instead of highly corruptible professional politicians. The people's elected representative managers would be subject to periodic confirmation or removal from office.

Voters would be truthfully and fully informed and they would have the power of initiative and referendum. Voters would decide matters of taxation, public policy and foreign policy. Voters would not be required to micro-manage government. Their elected managers and their staff would do that.

The proposed amendment would preserve all existing rights, privileges and protections contained in the Constitution. With nonpartisan direct democracy, the vast majority of voters would participate, simply because they would be able to decide all major issues important to them as individuals, and collectively for the common good.

With direct democracy, we could trust the collective judgment of our fellow citizens. Indeed, history has proven that the collective judgment of the people has been much better than the collective judgment of those who misrepresent us.

The point is, nothing will really change until the people decide to make it happen. All it would take is the will of the people to enact the great equalizer -- direct democracy -- "the will of the people." But that will take some doing. Money and power speak loudly for those who have it, against those who don't.

With direct democracy, we could change and improve these things and much more with our informed votes:

ELIMINATE THE CONSOLIDATION OF POWER IN WASHINGTON

With direct democracy, the consolidation of power in Washington would be replaced by the consolidation of power in the people.

VOTERS COULD REVIEW AND REPEAL UNNECESSARY LAWS With direct democracy, the people and their representatives could review all local, state and federal laws and either confirm or repeal them.

EMPLOYMENT, JOB SECURITY AND RETIREMENT

With direct democracy, the people could create more jobs, better relationships between employers and employees, prevent corporate abuses, protect small businesses, and establish better job security and retirement benefits.

IMPROVE HEALTH CARE AND REDUCE COSTS

With direct democracy, the quality of health care could be improved and the cost of health care could be reduced.

STABILIZE THE ECONOMY

Direct democracy could work to make and keep our economy much more stable.

THE ENRON FACTOR

Employee, investor and consumer abuses by corporations such as Enron, Global Crossing, and Wall Street power brokers in general, could be controlled by voters with direct democracy.

THE CREDIT CRUNCH

Predatory credit card companies, parasitic lenders and unfair credit reporting agencies could be controlled by direct democracy.

ELIMINATE COMMERCIAL CROOKS

Commercial lies, fraud, gross misrepresentation, theft by trick and device, and out-of-control telephone marketing could be eliminated by direct democracy.

REDUCE AND ELIMINATE DEPENDENCE ON MIDDLE EAST OIL

Our dependence on foreign oil and United States policy in the Middle East are the root problems of terrorism against America. With direct democracy, voters could reduce and eliminate that dependency by replacing it with U.S. oil, higher gas mileage requirements and alternative energy sources.

TAXATION

Direct democracy could replace the grossly complicated and unfair income tax, and the IRS, with fair and reasonable taxation, such as a consumption tax or a flat tax.

THE NEWS MEDIA

With direct democracy, biased news media with political agendas would have much less influence over voters.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATIONS

Information technology and communications industries would be controlled by voters, not selfish commercial interests or partisan government.

PUBLIC EDUCATION

With direct democracy, the government monopoly of public education could be replaced by privatized education and the guarantee of quality education for all.

HIGHER EDUCATION

With direct democracy and direct education, the cost of higher education would be drastically reduced and the quality of higher education would be substantially increased.

THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

With direct democracy, the entertainment industry could be sent a strong message to clean up their act.

THE DESTRUCTIVE ELEMENTS OF DIVERSITY

Direct democracy would open people's minds to mutual understanding and cooperation, and remove the barriers of political correctness and self-serving social divisiveness.

THE AMERICAN FAMILY

Direct democracy would give Americans the chance for a better life of relationships and restore the American family to stability and the pursuit of happiness. The American family is the foundation of our culture.

PRESERVATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF RIGHTS

The proposal for direct democracy preserves and enhances our constitutional rights and protections.
